Denis Ferranti Group is a well established privately owned manufacturing company. Main spheres of activity are Defence, Telecommunications and Engine Components.In recent years it acquired another UK manufacturing company producing specialised electric motors and gearboxes.All manufacture has been transferred to the Bangor plant and substantial investment made in improving manufacturing processes and extending product range.

Reason: DFG has developed an innovative brushless electric motor initially targetted at the personal mobility sector (powered wheelchairs)but with potential applications to other industries.The motor is substantially smaller and lighter than existing motors used in this sector and offers a significant improvement in power to weight ratio. The product is now being brought to the market and we feel that exposure at this type of event will be well worthwhile.
