Description of company/ product (less than 100 words) | EveryWhichWay is a highly innovative knowledge-based product that will provide a fresh and exciting new application for the location-based services market. For the user it provides local environmental and cultural information as he or she travels through the landscape, thereby bringing the local area to life and enriching the travelling experience. It is being developed now to take advantage of existing and growing demand for GPS, in-car SatNav systems, and location-based services generally and to help fulfil a growing need for local information by the travelling public.
Key Selling points | Key selling points are: 1. EveryWhichWay addresses a rapidly growing and developing sector, mobile internet and location-based services, where few ‘killer' applications currently exist. 2. It addresses the desire by the public for local information, delivered in a way that is accessible, consistent and informative. 3. All the core technology currently exists. Development of the product focuses on the integration of the technology, together with the preparation and collation of the contextual information. 4. Although initially focusing on the UK, the product ultimately has worldwide application.
Looking for: | Financial support or support in kind to further develop the product, especially to develop the information database, which is the main limitation at the moment to producing a full product ready for market.
Patent Status: | We have no patents. Given we are using standard technologies and commonly available information our limited investigation of patent rights suggest that a patent may not be achievable.
Potential Markets/ outlets | The initial target market is the UK, and the production of a UK dataset, although the product has worldwide application.
