Description of company/ product

R&D factory imageThe company invents, develops and sells innovative and socially responsible products and processes.

Streamoulding is a process that uses water to foam and expand the molten plastic during the injection moulding process.

Key Selling points

Streamoulding saves up to 30% material weight and reduces cycle times generating energy savings during production.

It uses small amounts of ordinary tap water and the foaming and expansion takes place in a modified nozzle leaving the material in the screw virgin.

It can be easily retro fitted to existing machines or incorporated into new injection moulding machinery.

The technology is effective across a range of different polymers.

The cost of the equipment is much less than gas or chemical injection systems and the savings generated would lead to short payback times

Looking for:

Genuine commercial interest from injection moulding companies to purchase the equipment to discuss technology transfer licences with

injection moulding machine manufacturers.

In addition, possible further outside financial investment to speed up the development of a number of further applications for the streamoulding technology which have been identified, and other new products in the company's portfolio.

Patent Status:

2 PCT applications are in progress for streamoulding and the company has various other IP protection for other products.

Potential Markets/ outlets

Worldwide injection moulding companies and machine manufacturers.

Retailers using plastics within their storage and distribution systems and selling any suitable own brand or nationally branded plastic products.
